I have received the following message quite often. Can anyone tell me what
causes it?
The instruction at "0x01350054" refererenced memory at "0x00000000". The
memory could not be "written".

I am using XP Pro.

Hi Ed,

Could be malware or a misbehaving application. Could also be bad ram. If you
want to check the memory, there are free programs here:

http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp
http://www.memtest86.com/
http://www.simmtester.com/page/products/doc/download.asp

Programs to help remove malware:

AdawareII www.lavasoft.de
Spybot www.safer-networking.org

From MVP Richard Harper on cleaning up malware infested systems:
http://rgharper.mvps.org/cleanit.htm

This one can help you avoid these programs from being installed in the first
place:
Spyware Blaster: www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

Rick,

Thanks for your help. At your suggestion I ran "Memtest-86" and found no
memory errors. Then I updated my "Spybot S&D" and ran it. Still no problems
found. Any more suggestions?

Ed
