Error Message.

Have XP Pro. Am getting following error message when clicking on any
desktop icons or any .exe file:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You many not
have the appropriate permissions to access."

Am only user of computer and am set up as administrator. Several programs
load and operate normally on boot. Thanks for any assistance!
