Error Message with Nero in XP.

A friends computer shows an error message each time it starts up
saying that there is an error in the CD Burning software and for this
reason will not be loaded. The CD and Nero apparently can't read this
error message and continue to work very well indeed. I have removed
and reinstalled the original version of Nero and have upgraded with
later versions of Nero, but still with the same error message. Could
anyone help, please. Don.

Start/Run command type: msconfig. In the Startup tab, review each entry
and see if there is a relevant application starting. You can determine
what the startups do from this site:
http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_content.php

If you find a startup app that might be the source of the error, you
have two choices: uncheck the box in msconfig, or open the application
and uncheck anything having to do with running at startup. The latter
is preferrable since some apps will restore the startup the first time
it is run.

This is probably a message relating to an orphaned entry in the registry
left when an older version of Roxio Easy CD was removed. To tidy up,
get a registry patch file, cdgone.reg, from
www.aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip, extract it, r-click on it and merge
it into the registry

You will then need to reinstall the Nero, as entries it uses will have
gone
