Error message when opening site in explorer

Michael Maher

I have recently upgraded my OS from windows 98 to Windows
2000. I maintain two web sites which I created with MS
FrontPage98. They have each been published for a few
years. Since reinstalling FrontPage98 over my new
operating system I am unable to find my web sites listed
in the open front page dialog box and an icon appears in
the task bar which indicates "web server idle"

Win2000 uses IIS as the web server, whereas FP98 had a built-in web server
or used the PWS.

You must unintalls FP98 and reinstall doing a custom install...do NOT
install any FP 98 web servers or PWS. If they are still on your system,
remove them.
