I can't open My Network Places using the desktop icon.Sometime I get a Dr
Watson PostMortum error, sometimes I get a standard message saying this
program must shutdowm and sometimes it doesn't say anything, all the icons on
the desktop disappear and then come back. Can anyone tell me what this is and
if there is a fix for this? Thanks, Pat

To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type: SFC /SCANNOW

and:

if DNS fails: restart windows, after you go to start/run, and type CMD, then
at that prompt type:

IPCONFIG /flushDNS

and then : IPCONFIG /registerDNS

Thanks,Mark I tried what you suggested, but that didn't work either. If you
have any other suggestions, it would be appreciated.
