Error message when installing/runing some programs

Hello all,

I get the following error message when trying to install or run some programs on my Win XP Pro SP2 laptop:

I've gotten this message when I was trying to install SQL Server 2000 on it.

These programs run just fine on my Win XP MCE 2005 SP2 desktop.

Has anyone come accross this issue before? Does anyone know how I can fix it?
