Error Message When I Load Word

I get the following error messag when I start Word: Word cannot open the
existing file. (Normal)

I've tried everything I can think of to get rid of this messag and I can't.
It also tries to save the file (Normal) when I close but then tells me I
can't because the file is open????

I'd suggest that you repost your question in a newsgroup which supports Word.
This group is for a different program, Microsoft Access - the webpage can be
confusing and may have misled you. Scroll down the list and repost in a Word
group.

That said - your computer has apparently lost or corrupted the NORMAL.DOT
document template which Word uses as the default template file. This template
will need to be restored. Ask in the Word group to find out how.
