Can somebody help please...

Here's my problem: When I attempt to join a Win2k client
to a Win2k server base domain.

I get the followng error message: The following error
occurred validating the name "domain". The specified
domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.

Is there a quick fix?

One thing to check is to make sure your DCs and clients are only using your
internal DNS server. If your ISP's addresses are being used, it will cause
this and many other problems. Check the DC and check the clients. If using
DHCP, change option 006 to only use your internal DNS server only.

For efficient Ineternet name resolution, use a forwarder. If the option is
grayed out, delete the Root zone. THis article shows how to both of these:
