error message - Relaying denied. Proper authentication required?

I can receive e-mail, but not send it. Above is the error message I get.
Any ideas on how I can send e-mails?

The error message suggests that you have to logon to the SMTP server in
order to send mail. Did you try adjusting your e-mail account properties to
logon to the SMTP server with your POP3/IMAP userid/password?
