error message on Win 2000 using QuickBooks

I have been using QuickBooks2003 for 2 years and now get
an error message "qbw32.exe has generated errors and will
be closed by windows" when I open the program, and it
automatically shuts down. I cannot find this error
message in Microsoft's website so far. I can use the same
program on other computers, and it will still not work
properly when I re-install QuickBooks2003 on this same
computer. HELP?!?

Hi Stu,
You may want to check out some possible causes of this in the Quickbooks
support site. The error refers to the Quickbooks executable. This is not a
Microsoft or OS generated error.

Doing some quick searches on the quickbooks web site, I found the following
possibilities.

http://www.quickbooks.com/support/faqs/qbw2002/203996.html

I also saw mention of some conflicting applications that can cause this
issue. Take a look at other applications you may have installed on this
machine recently that are not on the other machines where you don't see the
error.
