DRWTSN32.EXE

The drwtsn32.exe file is the one that opens when a program generates an
error and you get a message saying "something.exe has generated errors
and will be closed by windows." If I set a program to stop this one from
closing other processes, will it mess up the operating system, or is it
safe to do?

Thanks,

Well, I set Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 to prompt me when it tried
to start. I had it try to start yesterday and I blocked it. It didn't
cause any issues with the operating system. I did have one small problem
where it kind of froze on shutdown later, but simply turning off the
computer and turning it back on fixed that. So if you want to block this
file from executing and telling you that windows is closing a program on
windows 2000, then you can install Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and
set it to block this file from executing. (By the way, KIS 2009 isn't
meant for windows 2000, and during the install process, you will get a
message saying that this program isn't supported on windows 2000 and you
won't get any technical support, but you can proceed with the
installation). If you decide to try this, please post back and let me
know how it goes. I have only tested this on windows 2000, not XP or
Vista, so I don't know if trying this on XP or Vista will work.
Thanks,
JM
