You need to find out what malware is trying to start a NTVDM session and
remove it. Perhaps here would be a good place to start.
Then it would seem to be iether a problem with a driver loading or software
that is configured to run on start up.
Download Msconfig http://www.perfectdrivers.com/howto/msconfig.html
Use the StartUp section to stop apps starting, see if error repeated. If its
OK its a process of ellimination to determine offending App.
If you are the same poster that upgraded frm Win98, also check yr hardware
drivers are for Win2K
