This Dell crashes several times a day. The last time it crashed (blue
screen) I wrote down the following error message very carefully:

Can anyone give me a hint as to what the problem is please ??

http://aumha.org/a/stop.htm

"0x0000008E: KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
(Click to consult the online MSDN article.)
A kernel mode program generated an exception which the error handler didn’t
catch. These are nearly always hardware compatibility issues (which
sometimes means a driver issue or a need for a BIOS upgrade). "

So, would suggest starting with examining hardware and driver changes that
occurred immediately before the problem.
