Error message on boot-up

H.A. FOSTER

I get a "Module could not be found" message for
C:\WINDOWS\System32\bridge.dll. Pressing ok gets rid of
the message, but I want to fix whatever problem there
is. Thanks

Hi

bridge.dll is part of some spyware - have a look here:

http://www.pestpatrol.com/PestInfo/w/winfavorites_bridge.asp

Also try these programs to check for any spyware that may be on your system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://forum.aumha.org/downloads/cwshredder.zip

Try SpyWareBlaster to stop intrusions:

The way to fix your problem is to be very carefully about what you download
from the Internet, especially anything that's "free."

The way to remove the WinFavorites adware that you installed is to follow
these directions:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.winfavorites.html

Another way to help yourself is to read through a few day's worth of
previous posts to see if your question has already been asked and answered.
We see this question dozens of times a week.
