error message: No DC for system printer

I get an error message when I try and access a cd from my
cd-rom that states: "init: failed to obtain a DC for the
system printer."

Any ideas anyone?
 
DC= defined connection . The question is why are you
getting that, I don't know. In the dos days we wrote a
init string for printer, I XP I have no idea.
