Error message meaning

I frequently get the following typical application error message:

12/8/2008 9:46 AM Application Error Faulting application aolsoftware.exe,
version 15.6.1.1, faulting module xprt6.dll, version 6.5.0.5661, fault
address 0x00001244.

Just what does this mean? Is this a conflict for resources?

AOL has never given me any tangible advice concerning this except to reload
their software which does nothing.

This has nothing to do with windows, and everything to do with AOL trying to
write their own software to suit themselves, it's a huge memory hog, and well
known to be faulty for a long time, drop it and go with a different ISP

Thanks for the insight and link. Actually my cable internet connection is
through www.charter.net but I still continue to use "free" AOL 9.1 on Charter
as it was included as an inducement to get me to subscribe to Charter. Time
to uninstall all AOL software and use aol.com just for email. AOL does not
provide tech support for "free" AOL 9.1. I think that AOL will soon be out
of business.

Not using using AOL software could be a smart move!
