error message keeps popping up

Dear All,
I use windows mail on my Vista laptop. Demon mail software does not work.
Whenever I follow a link to a website on an incoming mail, before the
browser has had time to open an error message pops up to say that the
webpage is not available. Then after a couple of seconds the browser opens
and displays the web page. The error message is linked to win mail, and
closes when win mail closes.

Anybody got any bright ideas on how to stop this?

Do tell?

Regards

Ensure that Windows Mail has all its defaults:
Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on Windows Mail.
If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults" then fix it by
clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.

Repeat the above for Internet Explorer.
