Error message: Item has not been received from server

I work the Help Desk at a university and have a user that's using a POP3
account in Outlook 2007. She has two messages that were forwarded to her on
Tues, Oct. 14th with attachments. By that, each message has one attachment.
One message has an attachment of 4MB and the other is 980kb. If she hi-lites
either message, she sees the following in the reading pane:

This item cannot be displayed in the reading pane. The item has not been
received from the server.

If she attempts to open it, a box pops up with the following message:

This item has not been received from the server. Do you want to:

1) Unmark this header item
2) Mark to download this message
3) Mark to download this message and leave a copy on the server
4) Mark to delete this message from the server

The options are not marked with numbers as I have them. That was done
simply to separate the options. I'd greatly appreciate it if someone would
please let me know if there is a way to resolve this. Thank you.

What happens when she tries those options?

Does she have the send and receive settings set to not download messages
with attachments over a certain size? Ctrl+Alt+S to open the send and
receive dialog to check.

Thank you very much, Diane. That was the problem! Once she deselected the
option to only download headers and attachments of a certain, she was able to
open the messages I originally mentioned! Great job!
