Error Message in Network Wizard

I have been desperatel trying to set up a network with my
Desktop and Laptop.
Every time I run the wizard, I get a message that says
that the set up could not be completed because an error
occured.
Everything is Ethernet.
I have a NetGear 4 port hub with DSL.
The computers have different names (an early problem)
The only thing I can think of is that my ICS computer
should be plugged into the "In" on my hub, but that
leaves me nowhere to plug the DSL.

Several have suggested stopping the spooler service before running the
Wizard.

Start, Run, net stop spooler

After completing the Wizard,

Start, Run, net start spooler

Interesting try, but no luck. Still error on
