error message for only one user on windows mail in vista

getting the following message in windows vista for myself..main user...

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'outlook', Server: 'pop-server.wi.rr.com', Protocol:
POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

have not had any problems with mail until this evening for any of the 4
users on the computer. i can send but not receive mail. all other users can
send and receive mail. no new software has been installed or changed. can
anyone help?

That type of error is often caused by interference from a non-
compatible antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
