Error Message at Start up

I did "system restore" to a specified date and when it restarted the computer the following error message came during the boot process that covered the whole screen (did not go to the welcome screen)

"A prolem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_ARE

If this screen appears again

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advance Start up options and then select safe mode

Technical Information

***STOP: 0x00000050 (OXFDE49893, OX00000001, OX8056391B, OX00000000)"

The message ends here. And if I restart and try to get into the Safe Mode or any other mode after pressing F8, the same screen/message comes up again and again!

Please help

Thanks so much
Tom
