error message after downloading an update.

I received a message saying a new update was ready for
download from microsoft. I believe it was a security
related update. I downloaded the update. After this,
all I get every time I log onto the computer is
continuous errors saying -
"atlsm.exe encountered an error. Do you want to send this
error report to Microsoft" Any ideas about what happened
or how to fix this?

I've never heard of this process "atlsm.exe" I did a search on my System,
and I can't find it at all. Could you possible shead some light as to it's
location, because it sounds like a vender software issue, as opposed to a
Windows error. If you could do a search on your Windows drive for it, and
then post back where the file is located.
