Which operating system are you attempting to install,
Window 2000 Professional or Windows XP?

Steve;
You can not use Windows XP Boot Disks to install Windows 2000.
The Windows 2000 CD should be bootable and you should be able to
install Windows 2000 from the CD.
Otherwise you should take this to a Windows 2000 newsgroup:

If you are attempting to install Windows 2000, then you need the
Windows 2000 setup disks and not the Windows XP setup disks.

.
I will try this but I believe the problem is with the
computer somewhere, after the boot disk starts to scan
the hardware configuration i get this message.
