Error Mess. DEVLDR Not Responding

My PC locks up on shutdown. I get "Error Message DEVLDR
Not Responding".

I have read through Base Article 315327, which qaddresses
my problem exactly. I do have SoundBlaster Lie on my
system. I completed the resolution steps as outlined,
but no help. In fact...things got worse.

I now have my system back to where I was before I tried
the above stated resolution.

I've contatcted Creative Labs...they ran some diagnostics
on my system and found SoundBlaster to be working fine.
They tell me the problem is with Win XP....something
about the driver not working.

I need help really bad!!!
 
This is a well known issue with old Creative drivers. Upgrade to the latest
driver for your sound card.
