Error Loading OS, but loads if WinVista cd is inserted

I have just sucessfully installed Windows Vista on a new hard Disk. But now
when I set the BIOS back to boot from Hard Disk I get Error Loading OS. If I
reset BIOS to boot from CD, leave the Vista disk in the player and touch
nothing during start up Vista loads properly. I saw a previous help for XP
where it said choose the Repair Console and run fixmbr and fixboot to solve
this problem BUT I cant find these on my Vista disk.

Can anyone help me ?

Thank You

You need to open the motherboard BIOS and correct the drive controller settings
to either SATA (if you have a SATA interface drive) or IDE (if you have an IDE interface drive).

Since it has no problem when you let it try and then bypass booting from the
DVD drive
It appears that then you changed the first drive to boot from that you may
have picked the wrong partition from the drive that you have installed
Vista on.

I don't think it has anything to do with if the drive is SATA or PATA(IDE)
since windows see's them both as ATA drives.

Thank you Guys, the problem was that the BIOS hard disk priority was pointing
to the wrong hard disk ( I have 3). One quick change solved my problem.

Thank you very much
