Error installing Windows XP on a system

I am attempting to install Windows XP on an Intel box that was previously running Windows Me. However, th
disk was erased prior to the box being turned over to me (It was a cousin's machine). Installation starts off fine
it copies the files, but once it starts to boot XP I get the following error

STOP: 0x0000006F (0xC0000020 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000

Session 3 intiailization faile

I've searched the knowledge base and these forums (well, most of them) and while I've found a lo
of messages pertaining to STOP errors, I haven't seen any that look like mine.
