The word Beta means that you probably will have issues with this Real Player 11 Beta. It is to be expected and I suggest to you that you go to their Beta group and post the error there. They will be the ones to help you with the Beta and the solving of the issue or thanking you for finding the issue.

Do you understand what the word "beta" means? Beta" means incomplete,
unfinished, with bugs. Crashes should be expected. If it were stable,
and didn't have significant bugs, it wouldn't be a beta version, it
would be a released version.

Running beta software on a computer whose use you need is looking for
trouble. If you're lucky, it just crashes and doesn't hurt anything
else. Worst case, you can lose everything on your drive.

But if you want to persist in doing this, you should contact the Real
Player people for help with your crash.

You're welcome. Glad to help.

No, "beta" doesn't mean best. Actually "beta" is the second letter of
the Greek alphabet. Most software developers have several stages of
testing software. "Alpha" testing ("alpha" is the first letter of the
Greek alphabet) should logically be first, but many companies have
pre-alpha testing.

Alpha testing is normally in-house testing, and beta testing is a much
broader test, where testing is opened up to thousands of outsiders all
over the world. It's where the product being tested gets exposure to a
wide variety of hardware and software environments.

My advice is to participate in beta testing only if you enjoy that
kind of troubleshooting and playing with new things, *and* if you have
a spare, non-critical computer to use for it.

You are welcome. I also noticed (lol) that your English was much better when you posted the original post above. I guess spell checkers work. -:)
