A client of mine is running a query in Microsoft Query using an ODBC connection. The query runs fine but when he tries to return it to an Excel 2010 spreadsheet he gets an "Error in assignment" error with a Native Code of 22005. When he takes a particular data item out of the select list the query return to Excel without error. That data item is not connected to any condition or ordering. When I try to run his query on my testing database there is no error. What does this error mean? How can I advise the client?
