error during win2k set up

I'm trying to format and install a fresh copy of win2k on
my pc but the setup keeps getting stuck. It keeps saying
something about the windows system image is not valid and
that certain files cannot be copied. I tried several
times using other copies of the w2k CD but still same
thing. thing is, the file that it says it cannot copy
seems to change every time i run setup. It says to try a
different cd or different cd rom and i did, but still same
thing. Never seen this before in all my years.

Any suggestions? HELP!!!

I agree with the last submission as far a faulty CD-Rom.
However ram has nothing to do with this. You would have
received error beep codes about faulty RAM. But I am also
suggesting that the Hard Disk might be damaged. D/L
diagnostic tool for the drive and swapping the CD-ROM
does not help
-----Original Message-----
The CD-Rom drive may be bad or possibly some bad RAM.
