Error creating new user

I started to get the following message whenever I attempt
to create a new user with the "User Cannot change
Password" option checked.
<"the password cannot change option for object John Doe
cannot be set for the following reason:
An invalid Active Directory pathname was passed. This
object will not be created because doing so would result
in weakened security.">

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
