Error Connecting to Network Drive

I've created a workgroup at my workplace instead of going on the domain. I
can connect to internet, email, msn, etc.

I used to be able to manually map my network drives with the path to
specific shares on the servers. Recently when I try to do this I get the
following error message:

"An error occurred while reconnecting
Microsoft Windows Network: Path Not Found
This connection has not been restored"

I'm running XP and I've had the tech guy over here look at it and he doesn't
see anything wrong in my setup and he said my profile on the network is fine.

Any Ideas???!!!
