Cant Network a printer from my Vista to my XP Pro Computer

S

Shmuli

my connection to the internet is through a router there by i tried to make a
network with my XP computer which is wired directly to the router.
my Vista computer only 5 metres away is also wired to the router and the
router is connected to the modem etc.
My printer is connected through USB to the Vista Computer.
In my network map on my Vista computer it recognizes the network i made
(which is called Printer) and when i go to my XP Comp. and go to workgroups,
nothing shows up!
(i dont think im connected to the network properly!)

Hello Shmuli,

These groups are for the support of Windows Defender, Microsoft's
antispyware app.

Your question needs a place where networking aspects of your version of
Windows are the topic of discussion.

For Vista, start here:
<http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.vista.print_fax_scan&cat=en_US_9CA88DDB-D18D-FA0E-A366-6E527B0FBA67&lang=en&cr=US>
and use the "search discussions" box.

For XP sart here:
<http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax&cat=en_US_ad4ca7d7-594e-4193-b6b0-7b6f00cf3fb0&lang=en&cr=US>
