Error Code

I have a horrible trojan virus going on and I downloaded this software and it
found 4 infected items. When I go to remove them I get an "error code
0x800710dd. The operation identifier is not valid." Can ANYONE please help
with this!!?? I can't stand this virus. Thanks.

This is not one I've seen before.

I'd suggest proceeding as follows:

1) update your antivirus application and Windows Defender.
2) restart in safe mode--scan, and retry the removal operations.

Scan with both the antivirus and Windows Defender.

If this still fails, open the Windows System Event log, filter the sysem
event log records for ones with source "WinDefend"--and scroll back in time
to the original detections. There will be log entries for each detection,
with complete patch and file identification. You can cut and paste these
back to this thread if you need help deciding what to do with them.
