error code 10

I have a pc with windows 2000
,recently I have formated the hard drive compleatly and
installed windows 2000,now I have a probelm installing the
modem(56k) driver,is there any way to find out why it
dosent work , the modem is working correctly with win
millinum without any problem and I can install it but when
I want to install the modem driver with windows 2000 it
dosent works and give me always error code 10. pls can you
helo me

this is because the driver is not particularly written for Windows 2000.
Either obtain a suitable driver(for Win2k) or try with drivers of NT4.
