Error code 0x80072efe shutting down my dial up connection

I keep getting this code on the Windows Update Site when I click on either
Express or Custom buttons. After I click on a button it scans for a few seconds
then disconnects me from my dial up connection.

Any ideas on this error code and the possible fix?
