Error Checking

I had to hard boot my PC and decided to let it scan when
it re-booted. It named a load of files that it said were
invalid. I now have a new folder called "Found.000". Ther
are files in it called "file0000.chk".

Any idea what these are and what do I need to do?

Those are typically lost clusters. A lost cluster is a portion of a file
that has become separated from the rest of the file. Like when you lose your
child in the shopping mall. Anyway, you should have a look at those .chk
files to see if they contain any data that is important to you. If not, you
can delete them.
