I received a message stating that the above named file was either missing or
corrupted. I performed the steps that are necessary to fix this problem (see
Windows help article 315311). When I typed in the expand command, I received
the following:
Unable to creat file isapnp.sys.
0 file(s) expanded.

Now what do I do? Help!

Thanks!

goto START\RUN and type in SFC/SCANNOW
this should check any files that have been damaged or changed
and put them right

Red Dwarf,

Thanks for your help, but I cannot get into Windows ... all I can do is get
into dos through the recovery console (press R) option at windows setup. Can
you type this command in dos?

Thanks,
imtohc

OK next thing to do is reboot using your XP disk but dont
goto repair console hit enter to install XP then hit R to repair
it is pretty simple to follow when you get asked what repair
just choose fast this is a slower way than the other but you
don't seem to have another way of doing it Don't worry this
will not replace anything allready on your computer
