error after outlook closes

Every time I close outlook, I get the error popup saying "microsoft outlook
has encountered a problem and needs to close". outlook works fine as far as I
can tell, and this error message never comes up while I'm using it, only
after I close it. This occurs even if I simply open outlook and then close
it. Is there a way to get this error message to stop popping up? I'm using
office 2003 and running windows xp pro. any help would be appreciated, thanks!
 
Is it possible you're running a Palm synch application or some Add In that
uses Outlook and isn't closing when Outlook does? It could even be your AV
software, try having it not scan email.
