Error after doing Sysprep in XP SP2

I did sysprep on a installation wit XP SP2 and differnet programs, intending
do do a ghost and put it on severel laptops.
When I start upp after sysprep I get the message "The system is not fully
installed. Please run setup again".
Found in MS KB articleID 320279.
It says I should start up in Recovery consol and replace the hive system.
I did so and exited, then a message (briefly) appears wher it says something
about password.
OK. I started up again and then I get some error about the password is wrong
from LSASS. And it reebooted twice and then hung.
I went in to recovery consol again and then I couldn't log in to my
administrators account, somthing had changed the password.
Is there anyone who has been out for this to?
Any solutions?

I'm running into the same problem. The Microsoft solution articles
aren't really what I'm looking for, either. One created the LSASS
problem that you found, somehow messing up the local admin password,
and the other corrects the solution on one workstation with a paralell
install.

I've got a ThinkPad R52, and I really don't care about fixing the
problem singularly on this one system. I want to find how to
workaround the problem so that SysPrep can make this thing ready for
imaging.

SysPrep is what "breaks" it, but I can't seem to find out any
alternative method for using SysPrep.

What problem? You responded to an old thread and didn't quote any of the
original message so we don't know what you are talking about. This is
actually a Usenet newsgroup and many, as do I, use a newsreader to access
it. I download only the most recent messages so the earlier ones are not
viewable.

It's accepted practice to quote at least part of the message to which you
reply.
