Error# 8007001E (won't copy or play any music)

my windows media player 9 series was working fine. (i was
copying cds to my media player...) then when i was trying
to copy a cd, the message came up "the system cannot read
from the specified file". now no music will play or copy.
i also get the error message [Error# 8007001E]. any
suggestions? thanks
