Greetings:

I have been charged with setting up a VPN (Win2K
Server/XP Client). The Win2K Server has 2 NICS
(192.168.1.125 LAN & 192.168.1.30 DSL). These posts have
been invaluable in setting this up as I am a newbie at
this. However, I cannot get into the VPN externally. I
can ping al points on the network but am unable to access
(my router is a linksys BEFSR41 with port 1723 open and
from the best I can tell GRE 47 enabled). Any help would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Why does the server have two NICs in the same IP subnet? This is
definitely a no-no with RRAS.

You will need to set it up so that either

1. It has only one NIC and the router forwards PPTP to that NIC.

2. The server has two NICs, one in the same subnet as the LAN clients and
the other in the same subnet as the router. In this setup, the RRAS server
is the default gateway of the LAN. Only the server connects to the router.
