Win2k Server RRAS and Linksys routers

There seems to be quite a bit of users out there having
problems trying to establish a VPN server behind a
Linksys Cable/DSL router (BEFSR41).

I have tried all suggestions but to no avail. I keep
getting the same 721 error message from within the local
LAN as well as the internet.

It seems these routers have an issue with GRE even though
after you enable PPTP. Are there any success stories with
these devices, or can you recommend other routers that
are known to work with Win2k VPN.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have a router (PN9245F) by Hawking Technology and it
works great with VPN tunneling.

If you are getting error 721 when trying to connect within the LAN (ie
from a LAN client to the RRAS server), it has nothing to do with the router.
This connection is made directly over the Ethernet. It never sees the
router.

Check that the client is not running any sort of firewall.
