Linksys and VPN

I get a 721 error message while trying to make a VPN connection to a SBS
server. ISA isn't installed; a Linksys router is used as the firewall. I have
remote access and routing setup on the server and port forwarding on the
Linksys, I get verifying user name and password then the 721 error message. I
think it's the Linksys router but it could be something in remote access on
the server. Appreciate any help in advance.

Usually, error 721 is caused by the router blocking GRE (protocol 47).
If the router/firewall does not mention GRE by name or by its protocol
number, look for things like PPTP pass-through or even VPN pass-through
mode. Both of these are used by router makers to indicate allowing GRE.
