Error 797 and 721

Please advise on how to fix Error 797 which appears first, then Error 721 appears later.

I am not well up on computers so please bear with me.

My laptop is an IBM Thinkpad T23 with Windows 2000 and a Sagem F@st 800 ADSL Modem hard wired.

I have tried to reinstall my modem on advice from my Tiscali Broadband provider with no success.

Have you spoken to those with which you have configured the VPN? Your administrator should be able to best address this issue.

If you do not have an administrator, we will need some additional information as to what you are attempting to accomplish. Error 797, as per Google, indicates a dial up networking issue. If you have ADSL, dial up networking should not be in play here. Error 721 is in reference to VPN connections.

What version of Windows are you using?
Can you connect to the Internet normally using the setup you described?
What exactly are you attempting to accomplish with the setup you use to get these errors?
