Error 775: The call was blocked by the remote computer.

When I use dialup networking to dial out through my modem I get the above
error message.

When I click on More Info I get:
775
The remote computer may be blocking your connection because of a caller ID
rule, a scheduling policy that allows access only during specific times, or
another setting.

Why do I get this error message and how do I get around it so that I can
dial out?

Hi,

You need to contact your ISP for the specifics on what is and is not allowed
on their connection ports. Something about your current configuration is not
allowed.
