I've had an Error 633 problem that I can't seem to resolve. When I try to
dial up I get the Error 633 problem. But when I go to check my coms and
ports in my Device Manager, well, there is no Coms and Ports item in the
Device Manager. so I can't check that. My computer doesn't even get to the
point of checking to see if I have my modem connected to a phone line, since
I get the same error whether or not I am connected to a phone line. I have a
broadband internet connection, and use this modem only when I'm on the road
(I have a laptop).
I've gone through a few troubleshooting websites and to no avail. One of
them asked me to check to see if my Telephone.ini file was damaged, but I
can't find a telephone.ini file. Then it asked me to use my tapiini.exe app
to create a new telephone.ini file... but I can't find that either.
Any suggestions?
