Windows Vista Error 57E

I am receiving Error 57E when I try to download updates from Microsoft for my version of VISTA

Can anyone help me with this problem

Do you also have Office 2003 installed? This often seems to cause the problem. Also, can you look at your Windows Update history to see which update failed please?

It may be that you need to manually install Office 2003 SP3 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...49-3E13-433B-B9D2-5E3C1132F206&displaylang=en) and then run the Office 2003 repair utility (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822238).

It's not ideal, but you can manually update all those Office updates by sticking the KB number in to google. For example, the first one is available here:

For your NVIDIA drivers, you should update those manually from this page anyway (newer version):

http://www.nvidia.com/page/drivers.html
