I am not also experiencing the same issue, but only receive this error about
50% of the time. I have verified that no one is receiving the emails I am
sending. I have followed all of the steps in this thread and these settings
are not work. Any suggestions?

I am now experiencing this same problem except that I only receive the error
message about 50% of the time. No one is receiving any of my emails.

I am running Vista as well, Outlook 2007, using Comcast.net email and am now experiencing a similar problem. The only difference is that I only receive the 550 5.1.0 error back about 50% of the time. I have confirmed that no one is receiving any of my emails, but I am receiving everyone's sent to me. I have followed the instructions of this post to the letter and that did not fix the problem. Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Grant in Nashville, TN

You have entered your <%User_ID%@comcast.net> email address in the user
name; the whole enchilada, as I have written it? You have checked the "My
server requires authentication" box on the servers tab of the account
properties?
