We tried to run setup (made with Installshield) of our application on an
industrial PC that runs Windows XP Embedded, SP1,
but we got the following message :

"Error 2932: Could not create file
C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{3B2C044A-E641-41cc-B4D2-AEC31CA7276E}\ARPPRODUCTICON.e
xe from script data. Error: 1307".

- The logged user has administrator rights and there's enough free space on
target drive (220 MB).
- We got the same result with setup of other applications.

1/ Do we have forget a component on our XPe image ?

I haven't any other ideas...

Help welcome !

Phil.

We try to install our application on a compact flash that is embedded on our
PC104 motherboard...

1/ Is there any tool to declare the media directly in XPe as a "NOT
removable" media ?

Phil,

No, there is no such general purpose tool.

Unless you develop your own flash card filter driver to report it as fixed, you will have to contact the compact flash manufacturer
and they should provide your with an utility that will remove the removable bit on the CF.

Btw, make sure the flash is not really marked as fixed. Easy test, if posible, try to partition it creating more than one partition
