Hi all.

I'm trying to instal the VS 2003 in a machine with Win XP SP2 and, at end of
the installation, I receive the follow error message:

ERROR: Error 1937.An error occurred during the installation of assembly
'Microsoft.mshtml,Version="7.0.3300.0",PublicKeyToken="b03f5f7f11d50a3a",Culture="neutral",FileVersion="7.0.3300.0"'.
The signature or catalog could not be verified or is not valid. HRESULT:
0x80131045.

May it be DVD problem? Or it be problems with Win XP? How can I solve this
problem? Before install the SP2 of Win XP, I was received the error 1935.

Thanks a lot

Hi there,

I have the same problem. I'm living in the Netherlands and I've tried
installing Windows MCE, Windows XP Pro Dutch SP2 and Windows XP Pro English
SP1. Every version that I install gives the same error when installing the
..NET 1.1 Framework.
As far as I understand this is a problem with the installer not being able
to verify the contents of one or more of the files.

I'm running out of ideas why this won't work - I ruled out the version of
Windows XP by testing it with 3 different versions.

If anyone has a fix or workaround for this problem then I'd love to hear it...

Thanks,
Berend Dekens
